After you have decided on what cell phone you want to purchase, you know have to decide what phone plan would be best for you.  You have to think about the purpose of having a cell phone.  Your cell phone can either be for business or personal use.  You may also want to think about the people who want to stay in contact with. 

If you have a family that is growing up, then maybe it is best that you have a cellular phone family plan.  By having the family plan, you are allowing yourself to stay connected with your family.  This is especially important when you and your family have a lot going on.  You daughter may have ballet practice, your son may have football, and you and your husband are away at work.  It's nice to know that everyone has the ability to communicate with each other whenever it is necessary.

You will find plans that have a huge amount of free minutes or extras like text messaging and photo exchange.  You need to pick a cellular family plan or individual plan to fit your life.  If you plan on making a lot of phone calls or receiving a lot of phone calls, get a plan that has the right amount of minutes for you.

If you are only using it as emergency, then get a plan with fewer minutes.  You need to understand how your minutes are calculated, so that you do not go over your allotted minutes.  Doing so will create a hefty cellular bill when it is not needed.  Sometimes a family plan only gives everyone a certain amount of minutes, while others give each user a certain amount. Make sure you know whether or not your minutes are shared between users.
